Well known Dutch Endurance rider Joan Eikelboom has passed away unexpectedly on february 1st 2008. In october 2007 she followed love and her heart [what better than doing that?] to Namibia to marry AB van Wijk.
Joan was a passionate woman who was so enthusiastic about her sport that you couldn't help but starting to like it too; even me.
In Namibia she had many plans, as usual: riding endurance and setting up a guesthouse for visitors to this beautiful African country. Joan has had way too little time to enjoy this new phase in her life.
