Anky van Grunsven will train the Ukrain in the future

From now on, dressage rider and trainer / coach Anky van Grunsven will support the private initiative of Ukrainian Vitaliy Gayduk with her Anky Education Center. The former Minister of Steel and Industry has started a long-term project, with getting the Olympic equestrian disciplines to international top-level in the future as main goal.

Van Grunsven will be responsible for the dressage part. Van Grunsven: ,,It is fantastic that I get the chance to not only train one single rider but an entire country in dressage.”
Gayduk will open a hypermodern equestrian center near Kiev in 2012, with e.g. a show jumping area, dressage arena, cross country course, numbers of fixed boxes and working space for veterinarians, farriers and physiotherapists.

Gayduk: ,,The past few years, the Ukrain acted on top-level in show jumping with European riders in the Ukrainian team. But that is not the same as well-trained, talented Ukrainians that have worked themselves to the top. Therefore we need the right infrastructure and that’s what we are working on at the moment.”
