California Equine Orthopedics is a modern well known veterinary clinic in California. The clinic is run by Dr. Martinelli, and Arnd paid him a visit on a recent trip.



The horses can be diagnosed using several modern imaging technologies such as MRI and scintigraphy. Dr. Martinelli is assisted by Dr. Lea Walker.



Dr. Martinelli treats horses from several disciplines: among them thoroughbred racing, dressage and show jumping and races with quarter horses. The latter is like a short track race that is over in about 19 seconds.
